Topic: how to demix one midi track with program changes?

    hi!
    At last I can come back to zynewave.com ! (My isp had dns problems).

    I have some midi files with several program changes inside the same
    track.
    What I’d like to do is turn that type of track
    into several tracks (one track for each program change).
    How can I do that please ? (of course, I want to do that automatically because I have so many tracks to process)

    The MIDI file track will be split into separate tracks if the MIDI events on the track uses different MIDI channels. If the note on messages all use the same MIDI channel then there is no method to automatically split the sequence. You’ll have to do it manually by creating copies of the track and then use the scalpel tool to cut out the sections where the program change occurs.

    OK… That’s what I was afraid of… But maybe you could include this very
    useful fonction in a future release pleeeeeaase ?
