Topic: I am having problems with the edit cursor option

    i cannot get the edit cursor to move independently from the play cursor. i have tried on two computers. any ideas what i might be doing wrong?

    Did you uncheck the “link edit cursor to play cursor” option in the view menu?

    yes, i have tried on two computers but i cannot get a respnse to the command. they are linked……

    i am not clear on this. i can see a cursor hold stationary in the edit window. but once i hit stop the cursors are linked. what is the point?

    i have to run in a second. i cannot unlink my edit window from my track window. again, i might be confused about what to expect.

    Then it’s working as intended. The point is that the edit cursor will not start to move when you hit playback, so you can continue editing without having to stop playback to move the cursor.
