The selection of a focus track is a property of the arrangement, so it will always be the same in all arrangement and mixer editors that show the arrangement. It has always been this way. A recent addition was the mixer view option that makes the mixer scroll to keep the focus track in view.

o.k. maybe it is the mixer scroll option that is confusing me. can i turn that off?

    thanks!

“Follow focus track” in the mixer view menu.

Frits, whether that is checked or unchecked the mixer view is still scrolling.

Here is what I am doing. Monitor one has a track view only.

Monitor two has two mixer views. Top half of the screen has one mixer only view and the bottom of the screen has the second mixer only view.

When I hit track 14 on monitor one I do not want the mixers to scroll. But, no matter what I check or uncheck the mixers scroll?

    What am i doing wrong?

    thanks

BTW, this is very cool to have the mixer screen showing mixer tracks 1 to 10 on the top and 11 to 25 on the bottom!!!!

The “follow focus track” option is a local setting for each mixer region, so you need to deselect it in every mixer region that you don’t want to auto-scroll.

Frits, honest to God I have it unchecked everywhere (two views on monitor 2 and the view I don’t use on monitor one) and they still scroll.

Hmm, I’ve just checked it with a second browser window showing two mixers, and they don’t scroll. Please email me your Podium.ini file.

The file shows that the follow option is enabled for all mixer views. Are you sure you are not mistakingly using the “automatic scroll” option in the editor view menu? This option is for the timeline scrolling. The “follow focus track” is found in the “view” menu to the far right on the mixer title bar.

If you uncheck the option in all the mixer regions, and then exit and restart Podium, are the options still unchecked?

yes. i even did a restart and podium opens with the options unchecked.

Then please exit Podium and open the Podium.ini in notepad.exe or any text editor. Search for “FollowFocusTrack”. Do the lines read “FollowFocusTrack=0” ?

Something that may cause the confusion:

I noticed in your setup that you are using two browser windows, each showing the default “Split – mixer” profile. This means you actually have four mixers, as the split profile already has two mixer regions. So maybe you changed the follow option for the mixers that are minimized.
