Okay…
So I was checking to see what happened if I tried playing Podium and another app at the same time through my audio card as per a different thread, and thought I would check to see if there were any updates to the drivers on the Presonus card I use. There was so I applied.
I went to start Podium and when I turn on monitoring I get an error alert staing: Podium.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I tried starting a new project and I get the same thing. I’ve reinstalled the old drivers and get the same error. So whatever I’ve done I can no longer turn monitoring on without getting the error.
Other apps seem to be working fine.
Perhaps something has changed in the driver interface that makes your previous Podium interface setup incompatible. Find your Podium.ini setup file, make a backup (email it to me so I can verify if it crashes on my machine), delete Podium.ini, and then try to restart Podium.
Edit:
Or first try this: Enter the interface setup dialog, and press OK to make Podium reinitialize the interface setup.
I tried the 2nd suggestion with no success.
I did a search for Podium.ini and guess what? I don’t seem to have one.

It should be here:
C:Documents and Settings[user]Application DataZynewavePodium
Found it… Sent it…
Tried renaming it and started Podium. Went through the setup. Created a new arrangement. Went into it. Turned on monitoring and got the error message.
I don’t get any crashes with your Podium.ini file. Are your arrangements using 44100 samplerate?

Yes I am.

Was the setup reset properly when you started Podium, i.e. the color scheme was set to default grey and interface settings were cleared?
When you reinstalled the old drivers, did you verify that it actually did overwrite the newer version (a version number in the control panel perhaps)?
Try entering into a sound object directly from the project start page, and see if you can play this.

yes… and when it didn’t it workd I did an uninstall. Then did a clean install.

That seems to work.
If you create a new arrangement and delete all tracks except the master track, does it crash when you switch monitoring on?
Try the same but select a different samplerate in the arrangement properties.

Both worked… (No crash)
With the inputs deleted. I then tried dragging ian input back into the arrangement and it crashed.

Phew 🙂 . Now try adding stuff until the crash occurs again. Start with audio inputs, then plugins etc.

Both cause a crash…
I have to run out for a bit but will try more later…
