tayfunParticipantHi everybody.
I have a question. I am planning to buy Korg Nanokontrol for controling mixer and make mixing easily. Can i connect it to Podium and use Korg nanokontrol with Podium Mixer?
For example;
When i move the first button of the nanokotrol, i want to move my Podium’s mixer’s first button. When i move the second button of the nanokotrol, i want to move my Podium’s mixer’s second button. …..
I hope i asked my question clearly. Thanks for your support.
By the way Podium is very powerfull for the making music. VST supporting is wonderful. I know Podium will be more popular in the future. Thanks for the Zynewave personals.

michi_makParticipantyou will need a series 2 !!! NanoKontrol 2 supports MCU which in turns is supported Podium…

tayfunParticipantthanks. have you got nanokontrol2 or 1 ? and what is the MCU? i searched it but i find very expensive mixer?

michi_makParticipanti ordered a version 2 – will report back in some days – MCU is what you found a protocoll / control surface by Mackie – NanoKontrol 2 can simulate this surface…

tayfunParticipanthow does it do (simalating of Mackie’s surface.)? and can you broadcast video with your nanokontrol2 and podium, when your nanokontrol2 delivered?

tayfunParticipanti don’t understand that. podium has got mackie emulator support but nanokontrol 2 doesn’t run on this software. where is the admins?

ZynewaveKeymasterI’m doing the final testing of the next Podium release, which features extended MCU support. I don’t have a Nanokontrol2 myself, so you’ll have to wait for other users to report whether it will work with the Podium update. I expect to have a beta ready for VIP users within a couple of days.

rwelterothParticipantI’d be a happy beta tester for the new functionality since I’m just also thinking about some hardware controller like the nanokontrol which is reasonably priced.
Will you post the availability of the beta version on the vip board?Greetings

RichardThanks. The beta is already available in the VIP download topic. I also created a 3.1.0 preview topic in the future forum. Please post your beta feedback in that topic.

aantoParticipantHi all,
The NanoKONTROL2 hardware allows to assign any command to any button, but the software has very limited and unusable options like “Flip” etc. It use sysex to communicate, so it was not a big deal to intercept and fix it a bit.
I changed behavior of five “track” and “marker” buttons to “track left/right”, “show parameter tracks”, “marker” and “click”.
I hope this will make NanoKONTROL2 more usable with Podium.Send this SysEx to NanoKONTROL2 with MIDI-OX or any other tool and enjoy:

It’s a MCU command codes which are just a MIDI note numbers in hex. The easiest way to find correct numbers is to set a MIDI Keyboard as control surface, turn the “Control Surface Help” on, press keys and see what they will do. Then google “c#4 midi note number in hex”.
