podiummanI want to load klaerhusaudio effects into podium 2.25 can anyone tell me how you do this please, just bought the sftware today. I have been onto kjaerhus website and used their free download and the file is saved on my computer as a zip file but am unable to find it, also can’t work out how you get it inot podium. Michael.

You do need to find the file first. Maybe do a search for kjaerhus, it should come up. Then you need to extract that file to your plug in folder, usually C:ProgramFilesSteinbergvst or something close to this. If you do not get this done you cannot get to the next step which is in Podium, selecting device, import plug ins from folder, negotiate your way to the folder with the new plug and click open. Now it is in Podium.
How new to this process are you? Are you currently able to use any plugs in Podium?

podiummanThank you sam but just can’t find the files, went into devices to look for them also just been onto kj website and someone asked what system do the effects work with and it ses 2000/XP no mention of Vistsa so that might be the reason. shams becuase they are good. I use Ableton live but I’m learning Podium for work.

I’m using the Kjaerhus plugins under Vista, so that is not the problem. If you are having trouble locating the .zip files you downloaded from the website, try looking in the “Downloads” folder in your user folder with the Windows file explorer. You’ll need to extract the plugin .dll files from the zip files and place them in the folder where you keep your VST plugins. If you previously have installed some VST plugins, there is a chance that you already have a VSTplugins folder somewhere. If so, copy the .dll files to that folder. Otherwise just manually create a “VSTplugins” folder.
Podium should detect if you have a VSTPlugins folder in the expected locations. If you select the “New Project” command, you can see the “VST plugin scan folders” that Podium has found on the “Create New Project” page. If your folder is not there, click the configure button to manually point to the folder where you have put your plugins. Once you have done that, create the project, and Podium should create mappings for all your plugins.

podiummanThank you for your help but I’m not a computer expert and find what you are saying a little daunting. Anyway I have managed to find the dll files like you say by going imto windows explorer, they are in a file called Podium 225. I have gone back into Create new project which brings up 3 windows called recent projects, arrangements and sounds and devices. I have gone into devices and tried ‘load plugins from folder’ and they all load into Zynwave effects, but when I close the program down or go into my last project they dissapear. Help!!

ZynewaveIf you haven’t already gone through it, I can recommend that you read the Getting Started chapter in the guide. Here’s a link to the online wiki page:

This should hopefully help with understanding the Project Start page. For example, it mentions that the device setup you make on the project page is saved as part of the project, and not as a global setup of Podium. So each project has its own device setup.
You can share a device setup across multiple projects by using project templates. Once you have created a device setup that you want to reuse, save it as a project template. When you have opened another project, you can load that device setup into the project using the menu: “project > project templates > load device setup”.
