    Hi all,

Is there a way to lock the Loop range?

    Cheers,

    Malcolm.

I would say no, but please explain what you mean with locking the loop range, and why you need it.

    Hi Frits,

I’m talking about the Timeline Ruler (Loop).

When I set a Loop range using the Timeline Ruler, I want that Loop range to stay locked while I work on the looped section of the arrangement, but I often find myself accidentally resetting it when I click on the timeline to jump to a particular part in the loop.

I would like a way to lock the Start and End points of the Loop so I don’t accidentally reset them by clicking in the wrong place in the Timeline. Something like a Lock/Unlock button for each value.

    Cheers,

    Malcolm.

Wouldn’t it be easier to adjust the timeline rulers so that you are less likely to accidentally edit the loop range? You’ll avoid the extra clicks needed to toggle loop lock on/off.

You can increase the height of the non-loop timeline ruler, or you can visually divide the timeline rulers by inserting space regions between them. You can also disable the default auto-hide option of the loop/punch/segment rulers.

Thanks for the tip. I inserted a 20px space below the Loop ruler. That should stop me accidentally clicking in that area.

    Cheers,

    Malcolm.
