German FafianParticipantOk last night I did the most foolish thing!
I moved my Podium projects files over to a different HDD and overwrote a project I had been working on. Somehow I had two different files with the same name but in different locations.
I have startes re-doing the whole recording and stuff, but when I looked into the project folder I found these other files with a MINI extension along with a couple bounce files.
What are these MINI files? is there a way to use these to restore my project or parts of it?
Thanks for the help.

ZynewaveKeymasterThe .mini files are cached ‘miniature’ graphic representations of the wave files. Podium uses them to display the waveforms on the tracks, without having to load the entire wave file. You cannot use them to restore your project. Sorry about that.

Oh well. Shit happens 😉
I´ll have to re-ennact the whole thing. No big deal.
Now If I could remember what progression I played for the chorus part 👿
No problem if I delete these files then. I guess.June 9, 2005 at 16:59 #4902
ZynewaveKeymasterIt’s safe to delete the .mini files. Podium will just regenerate them the next time you load the corresponding wave files into Podium.

duncanparsonsParticipanthave a look at Restoration. For a freeware undelete tool, it’s probably the best out there.
Sadly it doesn’t allow multiple restores at each go, so if there are a lot of files to retrieve then it’ll take a while!
See what it comes up with, hopefully they’ll be enough of a trace left for you to get the original .pod file back!

SerendipityParticipantor this free alternative: PC INSPECTOR File Recovery
I’ve found it to be pretty decent.

German FafianParticipantPc inspector found an old file I had erased, but Podium won´t open it.
I don´t think this is the file I was looking for.
No big deal. I just started working on another idea. 😀
Thanks anyway guys 😉
