aMUSEdParticipantI haven’t used this in months and have just installed it on a new laptop but I can’t seem to find the horizontal scrollbar. The cursor is moving too fast when I record and I can’t keep up with it so I want to zoom out but how??

The simplest way to zoom out to all events in your arrangement is to double-click the navigator. You might need to include the navigator as a region in your editor profile (consult the manual for further info on this). Mousewheel actions over the navigator will zoom in/out.
Disable ‘follow song’ with the play cursor to prevent autoscrolling. This will keep a static view in the editor. I think you’ll find it under the ‘View’ menu.Alternatively, navigation controls can be accessed via keyboard shortcuts, directly over the arrangement.
Shift+Alt+click-drag: Activates the hand tool allowing you to scroll in any direction.
Ctr+Shift+click-drag: Vertical zoom.
Ctr+Alt+click-drag: Horizontal zoom.December 12, 2010 at 01:51 #19956
MoodyBParticipantThe mousewheel zooms in & out when it is placed in the timeline ruler, just below the navigator.
If you want the horizonal scrollbar back do the following :
Make sure you have the ‘Mixer’ button highlighted, above the transport.
In the ‘View’ menu, select ‘Customize Editor Profile ‘
In the list that appears, underneath ‘Tracks’, select ‘Space (Recess)’
Click ‘Insert New’ and then pick ‘scrollbar’ from the popup menu.
This will add the scrollbar into the Mixer view.
To add it to the Editor & Tracks view, just make sure either button is highlighted (above the transport) before you select ‘ Customize Editor Profile’.

aMUSEdParticipantThanks – I used the profile editor to add a scrollbar back. I don’t like the navigator so I’ve removed that to use less space – it just threw me that the scrollbar had been removed

I love the navigator but I’ve trained myself now to grab the bottom bar of the box (for Horizontal Panning only) because I find the vertical movement strangely unnerving due to the fact that the vertical pan jumps one track at a time and snaps to the track height.
The vertical scroll bar in the track view doesn’t do this and hence feels more like gliding than clunking.
Perhaps this can be or could be changed?

aMUSEdParticipantIs there a way to reset the interface to defaults if you delete the wrong thing in the interface editor?
