    Hi –

I rely heavily on manuals since my system is offline and have a quick suggestion regarding the Podium Manual.

In the beginnning of the manual to take the new user ( me) through a quick start – but you jump right to recording after you have us add a vsti.
And show a full rack of tracks etc in the image…but you forgot to say how or where the piano roll or note editor was..

It took me 30 minutes to find out where and how to open the note editor/piano roll to add notes to be able to record.

So my suggestion is to take part of the Note editor topic, which is way down at the bottom of the manual btw, and put at least a quick start about accessing it and adding notes right before the “Recording to audio” section of the quick start (which you have in the beginning of the manual.)

    Just a thought…

The manual is indeed something very important for new users, and older ones coming back. But hosts that are developed not by a company of 80 wild looking code wizards but one genius would rely on the users. Reaper, for example, with 3 developers now, has a 400+ pages manual, but it is run by a user. EnergyXT in its quirkyness relied on many users (I was a part of it once^^) who helped out.

You could remember your initial problems, and write them down in a few steps – and send the doc to Frits, for example 🙂 Or add to the Wiki. The only solution I see is taking the load off from Frits and start a user-built manual. I know that many test Podium, but some can’t get their head around it, the learning curve still seems steep.
