swayzakParticipantAre there any plans for Podium to move in this direction ?
I’m thinking of the fantastic things in FLS (piano roll editor) which make knocking out interesting patterns so quick and fun…chords, rhythmic chopping etc. etc.
I’d love for Podium to become my all powerful, stable (and Sysex compatible :)) music creation centre.

Perhaps. I’m not familiar with the FLS MIDI composition tools, so I can’t say for sure.
However, the next couple of months are dedicated to improving the audio features of Podium.

Not exactly sure what you mean-do you mean tools for midi algorythmic composition, or just more and better tools in general for using midi in Podium? π

So THAT’s why you uploaded those graphics! π π
I have always had zero interest in Fruity Loops. YMMV.
You’ve got to admit they look pretty cool though π

Whatever, if you say so.

darcyb62ParticipantI could live without… Tried Fruity Loops but never really liked it.

UncleAgeParticipantI’m not a big FLS user but I have to say that the “midi composition” tools mentioned are probably one of Fruity’s best features. I get work done without them but they do come in handy from time to time. Chord & Strum are the two I use the most. And would probably use them even more if they were in another host.

darcyb62ParticipantONce Chordspace works with Podium I think you have a much netter chord/arp tool. As far as strum… Hey I’m a guitar guy… Would never use it.
August 27, 2006 at 20:11 #7433
swayzakParticipantI find them really useful – especially for drum ‘n’ bass / jungle and electronica.
Often really inspiring / interesting results with minimal user effort – the kind of tools I like π

darcyb62ParticipantThinking about this… If we can get rewire support than all the for those that want FL in Podiom it’s right there. That would be my preference.

Good thinking.
But Podium would have to be the slave wouldn’t it – sending all the processed midi from FLS to tracks / instruments in Podium, then the audio back to FLS ?
