kingtubbyParticipantI’ve found that selecting any midi file in the browser causes Podium to crash/freeze consistently. This is with 3.01 and 3.02, though it could have happened previously as I haven’t tried importing a midi file for some time. However, I can drag in a midi file from windows explorer. I’m on vista 32.

thcilnnahojParticipantHmm, I can’t confirm it, sorry (Vista 32-bit here too).
Any additional info would be appreciated, for example:
– does it happen when you select a file while on the project page (without opening an arrangement)
– in the arrangement editor, does it matter if the arrangement is powered on/off
– do you have auto-preview turned on in the browser
– if yes, does it matter what’s the device chain on the track that’s selected when you click the MIDI fileAlso, could you try with a MIDI file we also have access to? How about this one: http://www.8notes.com/scores/9764.asp?ftype=midi

It happens on the arrangement editor with the browser auto-preview enabled and the arrangement powered on. I checked with the midi file you linked to and Podium crashes every time when I click on the midi file in the browser with the aforementioned circumstances. I’m using an empty arrangement so there are no effects/device chains involved.
Thanks for your help,
Martin.

ZynewaveKeymasterI’ll take a look at this before the next release. It sounds like a simple bug.

ZynewaveKeymasterI could not reproduce a crash. While testing, I did find and fix another bug that caused the audition to not always start. I don’t think that bug is related to your crash.
I would appreciate it if you could email me your Podium.ini file, and the project file with the empty arrangement that causes the crash.

ZynewaveKeymasterThanks for the files. Bug is now fixed. The crash happened because there is no tempo event in your arrangement.

thcilnnahojParticipantDamn, I didn’t think of trying it in a linear arrangement. Haven’t used that in a long time… 😳
