Topic: Midi sync and count in

    Hi Podium Bloggers

    I recently downloaded Podium Free and quite like it. The best thing is that have been unable to crash the software. However, as i dig into the software and explore the functions a few questions pops up

    1) I have been unable to sync Podium to my hardware synthesizers (MOX6, V-Synth, Korg X50). Podium doesn’t seem able to recieve or transmit midi sync or sequencer control commands. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

    2) A basic feature, count in before play or record. Doesn’t seem to exist?

    All help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jan. Sorry for the late response.

    1/ Podium can send MIDI timing clock and MTC messages, but you need to enable that with the checkbox options for each MIDI output in the Audio/MIDI dialog. Podium should also respond to MIDI start/continue/stop messages but it does not sync to incoming MIDI timing clock or MTC messages.

    2/ There are some ‘rollback’ options on the metronome preferences page.
