I find it frustrating the way when I grow the size of the other parts of the screen (i.e. make Mixer taller) that the tracks all shrink. I would prefer the tracks to stay the same size and the track area to scroll.
Basic issue is that tracks I have set to a certain hieght then lose the height that I assigned, it feels like I keep having to readjust the height.
Zooming is adequately already catered for using the vertical zoom control.

    Thanks,
    Mike G

I’m going to change this at some point. After the recent introduction of the track header chain panels it has become more sensible that the tracks retain their heights, as you described.

Errrmmm …I thought this had been changed already!?

    Try this in Compact mode:

Turn on “Tracks Region Properties/Set minimum track height to fit contents”,
Create a new track with a single mapping,
Minimise the track height as much as possible (now will not hide the mapping)
Right-click the track and choose “Set Default Track Height” and,

Presto …track heights will not resize against the mixer window and will ‘grow’ neatly as you add new imputs to the tracks.

What you describe is true. However if you have zoomed out so that the tracks are higher than the contents, then the track heights will be scaled when you e.g. open the mixer. I intend to make the track heights pixel fixed, as Mike described.

    This would be great!
