    😕

I am trying to kind of replicate the way I’m used to working but am stuggling.

I’ve opened the New Arrangement from the start up Project screen & confined it to the left monitor.

I have also used the Profile Properties to get rid of the mixer, leaving everything else (for the moment) as a “sequencing” view.

I have called this profile name “Sequencer” and closed the Profile Properties dialogue.

I then opened a new browser window and opened the New Arrangement, but this is a replica of the first arrangement.

If I try to edit this to be a “mixer” arrangement, obviously the same changes happen to the first arrangement….

The sequence profiles / windows system in Podium seems very powerful but I can’t seem to get past the first step 🙁

In other hosts, you just drag the windows containing the different apps and hey presto, multi window setup in seconds.

You can see why I don’t seem to make much music in Podium 😕

You need to create a new profile, which you then will use in your second browser window. It’s easiest if your start by copying your existing arrangement profile in the profiles dialog: Select your ‘sequencer’ profile and click the ‘copy’ button. Rename the new profile as ‘mixer’ and edit the regions. You can create any number of profiles that you can use in the editors. The view menu in the editors will list all available profiles for that particular sequence type.

    thanks

How is the “Sequencer” profile saved ?

Everytime I open the Profile Properties, the name is highlighted in blue for editing but I can’t see a “save” option.

Is it saved when you press OK ?

Anyway, I tried copying it – where do you “paste” it to ?

There is no paste option when I open a new Profile Properties dialogue – just the same “sequencer” name flashing blue.

Do I need to create a new arrangement to do all of this because the only one available from the “new browser” window (in Arrangements and Sounds) is the same one I used for the sequencer profile.

And so when I try to change it, the changes happen to both arrangements.

    I will get this eventually…

My apologies Frits – I was trying to do this from the arrange page.

You have to do it from the main startup page !

    Onwards and upwards….

How is the “Sequencer” profile saved ?

All the profiles are saved as part of the Podium.ini file, along with all the other program settings.

The copy button works like a duplicate command, so pressing copy should have created an identically named copy of the highlighted profile in the list. Immediately after pressing copy, press the properties button to edit the new profile.

You should not create new arrangement objects. Only new profiles.
