Topic: mtc and Korg Electribe ER-1 – question

    hi,
    i´m happy for the support of mtc. but i have a question about it.
    i have the out from PC to the in of a Korg Er-1 drummi.
    I have use the right interface for “send time code” and “send time clock”.
    if i start the seq in podium the korg do not start to play (the er-1 is to set ext. clock) automatic.
    if i start the play of the seq on the korg dirctly, the timing of the tempo goes correct with podium …..

    do i stop the podium seq. the er-1 stops for a half second and begin to play from alone …

    i think the start / stop to the er-1 do not work 🙁

    who can help ????

    Hi,

    I looked briefly at the ER-1 MIDI documentation, and I don’t think it supports MIDI time code (MTC). Instead it uses the MIDI timing clock and associated start/stop/continue and song position commands, which is unrelated to MTC. Podium can transmit timing clock (to tempo sync external devices), but does not yet transmit start/stop and song position commands.
