    Hi,

I have just started using Podium CM version. I ran through the setup fine as instructed and I have opened a new arrangement and created a new track. I do not have a midi keyboard but I am trying to enter some notes on the piano roll editor. I can load up various vst’s but I can’t get any sound out of them. I think the midi input and output selections are correct. I do have some error message to the left stating that the parent mapper is not set up to produce audio. Is this relevent and if so how do I change it? Thanks for any suggestions/comments.

    Hi,

Does the topmost track read “Master” and is there an audio output mapping assigned to the track? If not, then it’s possible you haven’t enabled your audio interface before you created the project.

When you create a new arrangement, it should by default be set up with the first VSTi in your device list.

If you think all this is ok, then email me your project file so I can check what the problem is.

Thanks for your reply. No, the topmost track does not read ‘Master’ and there does not appear to be audio output mapping assigned to the track. If the audio interface is not enabled what is the best way of doing so? Do I have to run the program setup again? Thanks.

Open the MIDI/Audio interfaces dialog, and make sure you have enabled all interfaces you want to use. Use ASIO drivers if available for your soundcard. After this is done, create your project from scratch.
