Topic: No sound on higher audio channels

    Hi,

    I am not getting any sound coming from the higher audio channels. I have tried this with both kontakt 3 and 4 and neither will play sounds routed to higher channels (i.e channel 24+25 for example). I have made sure I have set my inputs correctly in the device properties, and it is fine for lower channels such as 3-4.

    I did not used to have this problem.

    I tried Kontakt Player 4.05, but I’m not sure I know how to set this up. I added another channel in the output section, but when I select any of the “unassigned” outputs there is no sound and the meter in the Kontakt mixer is darkened as if to indicate it is disabled. I managed to get sound on all 4 aux channels (up to channel 11+12). Do I need to do anything else in Kontakt to enable output to the unassigned channels? Perhaps this is a limitation of the Player?

    I then tried the NI Battery 3 demo, and there I had no problems getting sound on all 32 output channels. Also no problems with: IL Drumaxx on all 22 channels. SampleTank2 on all 32 channels. ARIA player on all 32 channels. Drumazon on all 24 channels.

    Before you can use the “unassigned” ones to sound output, you have to route them in the internal mixer of Kontakt:

    1. make the mixer visible
    2. add channel
    3. “make default” (before the new channel can be routed correctly, you have to reload kontakt)
    4. reload the instance of kontakt
    5. with the “Conf.” tab at the button of the channel strip you can assign the outputs, you like to use…

    In this way you should be able to use all the outs of kontakt…last time I tried, was with kontakt 3…I don´t know, if something has changed since then…
