Another thing is great is using Podium for plugin development.
With most hosts, you specify a single directory, or a range of directories for VST scans. So when I compile a dll, I need to drop it into one of these directories before launching the host.
I had been using Console quite a lot, since it’s very quick and easy for wiring something up, and is incredibly robust and forgiving of naughty plugins.. Thing is, I can’t easily debug back into the IDE if I need to . It is possible, but rather hit and miss.
However, I started using Podium a while back, and since I can specify exactly where the plug is – so I can run a debug session directly in the IDE without any fiddling about. It’s FAB!!!
