bbreakzParticipantSorry if this has been answered before.. I think this can’t be done but not positive..
Is it possible to link my oxygen 8 controller knobs to vst parameters… Can’t tell if its possible or not… I was able to connect Massive to my controller using its midi learn feature.. but couldn’t record the movements inside podium
thanks!!

ZynewaveKeymasterYou can only link MIDI controllers to plugins, if the plugin supports it. If the plugin has a MIDI learn feature, then it supports it. If you see the knobs move in the plugin editor, then Podium should be able to record these movements. Put the track in record mode, and start recording.

ZynewaveKeymasterI can’t tell from the website whether the Antti synths support MIDI learn. If the plugin knobs do not move when you move a knob on your MIDI controller, my guess is that they don’t support MIDI learn. Perhaps you could try with the Zynewave Nucleum plugin, which do support MIDI control of all parameters.

frollo9386Participantso it’s not possible to set a midi CC to control a parameter in the vst synth unless the vst plugin support itself midi learn?

Correct.

frollo9386ParticipantSorry if I’m annoying you on this topic, but there is any workaround for this or it is a FR you’re considering to add to the sequencer?
July 10, 2011 at 19:44 #20802
adimatisParticipantfrollo,
What to be added?!
It’s the plugin that has to have it. If it doesnt, what to add to the sequencer !?July 10, 2011 at 23:16 #20803
frollo9386ParticipantOk maybe I didn’t catch something…
but in other sequencer i own i can control any parameter of any vst with my controller… i just route a midi CC to a specific vst parameter…i just would like to have this in podium…

It is a feature I intend to add in the future. I have no estimate for when it will appear.
@adimatis: A host can support MIDI parameter control of a plugin, by intercepting MIDI messages from a controller, and convert them to VST parameter messages for the plugin. This means the host needs to store information in the host project file about which MIDI messages are to be linked to which plugin VST parameters.July 11, 2011 at 06:23 #20805
adimatisParticipantYes, actually I didn’t catch something! 🙂 sorry for that. I thought you were simply asking for Frits to find a way for the plugin to do what it is not meant to do by it’s creators…
As for the CC message routing, I am also all for it. I know how it works, would be good to have it implemented.
