Changing the path seems to work fine on my machine. Please explain what goes wrong?

Ok , before i had my plugin folder in c:syntheditvstplugins , but i made a drum sample reader , with synthedit and i transfered all on my d: drive because of the place taken by the “samples.wav” and the synthedit plugin refer to his own folder for the samples .So , in podium i changed it in preferences/various/root vst plugin folder and it appears now as d:syntheditvstplugin , but when i import a plugin , it open the old folder on c:. 😮

The root VST folder that you specify, is used when plugins are stored with a relative path in the project. In addition to this, Podium also keeps track of the last folder that was used when browsing for plugins to import, just as it keeps track of the last folder used when importing media files.

Just a question : when some plugins are in subfolders of the VST path (for example the free VST that you use in your demos), Podium doesn’t find them and asks for the path of the plugin.
Could it be possible that it will scan the subfolders and find the dll that are presents ?
Or perhaps to give several paths (without subfolders) will be usefull too ?

If you load a project that contains references to plugins that are placed elsewhere on your harddisk, then you can use the ‘search’ button in the project wizard plugin panel. This will also search subfolders.

If you import plugin device definition files in the project wizard, then Podium will also search subfolders, if the plugin is not found at the position specified in the definition file.
