Hi guys…
over at KVR I found Phrazor, which is a very powerful effect/midi/sequencer/host-whatever thing. I tested it in Podium and I am overwhelmed by its functionality. For 29 Euros (preorder), you get a tool which can host your effects. The whole Phrazor instance can be open in any host. That is very useful when having all you instruments host independent at your feet. The effects are dragable and can be tweaked furthermore in a seperate mixer. The beta is free and unlimited. This tool is even more powerful than Chainer, imo. There are already skins, that allow a very unique look on the gui.
Anybody here, who tried it?

Already there! 🙂
I bought into Phrazor several weeks ago. Excellent prog. Have you tried the new skins by ArtVera for Phasor-now Phasor even has the looks! 🙂
Yes I have it already skinned 😉
Do you use it in Podium? And in what ways do you use it then?

Yes in Podium. What ways? All the ways that I can! 🙂

Does the “sync” mode work for you? Here the timer of phrazor runs and runs (even when Podium is stopped), although it captures the right song position when Podium is in play mode.
I use the latest beta.
I have seen Phrazor but not really used it yet. Looks interesting. I can think of many uses for this in Podium. 8)
Sync button works now, and Holger is going to give us the next preview, which has multiple outs! 😆

Thanks for the update on that. Now I can finally use multi output instruments like Direct Wave or RMX in Phrazor while it’s plugged into Podium. 🙂
It’s great to be able to plug a whole new environment (Phrazor) into Podium. Especially as Podium is so stable. This looks like a very good combination indeed. 8)
Phrazor now supports multi I/O VSTi! THAT IS A DREAM in Podium (as in every other host).. Especially for drums, as the single kit pieces do not need any automation. You can save a whole combination of a drum sampler, setup outs, plugins etc. and load it with 2 clicks in every Project you have. Put your midi under the track, bounce it and you have your drum part ready.. 🙂
Nice one! I love it.. 8)
Okay folks… I’ve been taking a gander at Pharzor and for the life of me I can’t see what it does that Podium does.
To put it just a bit differently, I don’t know hoe I would use it within Podium. Examples of how you are using it in Podium would be greatly appreciated.

One example would be a chain of certain effects. You do not have to create several tracks in Podium. And if you wish to use exactly this chain of effects in another arrangement, you can save the whole “state” (as it is called in Phrazor) and load it elsewhere. Pretty much the thing many people always wanted to be in Podium. Since Frits implemented the better view options for tracks, Podium is much better to handle than before. But still there are situations where the flexibility of Phrazor is a great help to do things in Podium.

I have it downloaded and I’ll give it a try but it just seems like added overhead to what is already possible in Podium. Granted the “state” functionality might be worthwhile.

“Phrazor – Virtual Synthesizer Workstation
allows you to combine, play and sequence your plugins in one intuitive interface:
* Rack style GUI providing 64 Tracks, each with 8 Plugin-Slots
* Build reusable Racks, Sounds, Clips
* Efficient workflow with Drag ‘n Drop and customizable Browsers
* Categorize your Racks, Sounds and Clips
* Move your work between systems (Host/OS-independent fileformats)
* Semi-Modular Routing
* Horizontal Mixer supporting Sends and Effect Racks
* Provides Sounddesign on a higher level
* Full-featured Sequencer with Playlist, Pianoroll and Fullscreen-modes
* Ready for Live-Performances providing Snapshots and Scenes”
That’s their explanation of what it does.
If you only use one synth at a time with reverb, it probably isn’t for you.
