    Some piano roll observations…

    1) The visual spacing between each piano key a-a#-b-c-c#…is not even on the piano roll so this means I have to double check my notes entered as chords/intervals (esp. when transposed) on the piano roll as visually it is not even.

    2) In Rearrange mode I would like to be able to move all / selected notes around the screen using the arrow keys.

    still learning… nice program.

The keyboard is laid out as a real piano, with equal spacing between the white keys. Are you saying you prefer it to be spaced evenly between each note? If so, then I could add a mode to the keyboard region properties that would allow you to select your preferred layout.

I plan on using the arrow keys for navigating the notes. Maybe use ctrl/shift+arrow keys to displace the selected notes with the current snap quantize value. + and – keys could be used to adjust velocity. Add a few more key shortcuts such as a key to insert a note, and then we are not far away from having step sequencing implemented.

Yes on the Piano Roll itself… an evenly spaced grid. 🙂

To clarify… select notes in piano roll then press arrow key(s) to move them up/down/left/right in the grid… better than a mouse in most situations.

Would the movement be “snap to grid”? Today when I change note lenghts there´s no snap to grid.

If the quantize snap is enabled, then resizing notes with the mouse will snap to grid. Or do you mean something else?

Eh, yes it does snap to grid 😳 My mistake 🙂 Actually I´ve been doing more music writing than checking out the details. Now my credit card has to heal from the damage of a new heating system for the house.

But this is a sure buy for me.
