am i missing something? every program i have ever seen allows you to move the play cursor with arrow keys……..and it is important. If the quantize is set to 32 then the arrow keys should move the time line by 32’s.

Arrow keys are used to navigate the focus/selection of events. Use the q/w keys to move between markers, and shift+q/w to move in 1 bar steps.

again, i know how it works i am concerned it is very, very user unfriendly. changes from the standards like this serve no value. they are standard in this case because they are vital to work flow. with your method i cannot move in 16 note increments! only bars and markers. Frits, this is not logical and does not help in editing, etc!

Please consider this feature change! Moving the play cursor with the arrow keys is critical to editing!

Could you describe what kind of edit actions you are doing that require you move the play cursor in steps smaller than a bar?

last night for ex i was editing out open mic noise and i needed to get to move about an 1/8 note forward. but honestly, editing on a normal everyday basis is far more than a bar only. why put that sort of a limit on it? what if i want the ohhhh out at the beginning of a phrase. or i hit an open e after a perfect guitar solo and just want it gone.

i want to be able to do this on the main track window.
