grokParticipantHello all
Just discovered Podium (thanks to KVR) ,and it looks good.
The heart of my set up is The Mighty Reaktor, and you can do almost anythin with it ,except sequensing.I already gave Qubase SX a shot, wich I really don’t like,it takes away all creativty.I really love Live, but I don’t have the cash right now to buy it and I don’t use cracks. So Podium could be the solution.Does anybody worked with both ,Live and Podium,if so ,can you give me some opinions? Is there a Warp function like in Live;this is for me big question.
Thanx in advanceGrok

ZynewaveKeymasterHi Grok,
Is there a Warp function like in Live
If the ‘Warp function’ is the name for Live’s time-stretching, then this is currently not supported in Podium.

ConquistadorParticipantgrok…as Frits said Podium does not have a warp feature but you might want to check out Live Slice loop slicer/ arranger / granulator VSTi.
It has nothing to do with Ableton but provides very similar functionality to Live 5 for just 49 Euros.

It is not going to compete with Live 5 in all areas but it is not trying to.
Live is a host this is an instrument + FX, but for sound mangling, stretching of any Wav file (I think it also has ACID file support) it is very effective and from my usage so far does work in Podium as well.
It’s great fun to use and will preview files at host tempo. It think this little plug in is a great way to get some of Live 5’s features into Podium.
For anyone looking for serious beatslicing and time stretching features in Podium this may be a very nice solution. It think it is a great plug in to use with Podium as Podiums gapless engine encourages this sort of plug in usage.
Of course it may not have what you are looking for but then again it just might… 😉
