    Hi-

Some more questions regarding the full version of Podium v2.40.

These are mostly consern the Surround Sound capabilities of full version of Podium v2.40.

    1) How do you send a single speaker channel in a single surround track slot to a send or bus?

    2) How do you adjust volume level of a single speaker channel in a single surround sound track (slot)?
    – and in the master track?

    3)
How do you adjust panning in the individual tracks of surround setup via the tracks?

    3) How do you zoom the Master track “strip”? all child tracks zoom but not Master.

    4) How do you quickly add an effects send?

    5) In a stereo recording – via a single stereo track can you send the right or left channel to a send from that single track slot?
Ie: Single stereo track slot – send the right channel to effects send one; left channel to effects send two; both R+L channels to effects send three and so on? If so how?

    6) How do you solo a tracks effect send output? ie: Hear only the effects post output of a intrument or vocal track with out hearing the pre-send to the master?

    thanx

1/ You can set up a bus return mapping that extracts a single mono channel from a bus that is being fed with a surround bus send mapping.

2/ You can’t. You’ll need to find a surround tool plugin that can handle individual channel gain, pan, mute and solo. I’m not familiar with the available surround plugins. I’ll probably develop such a plugin in a distant future.

3/ Panning is only available on tracks that are feeding into a parent stereo track.

4/ You can’t. If you undock the master section in the mixer region properties, the master track will zoom like regular tracks.

5/ Yes. Same principle as mentioned in question 1.

6/ You’ll need to set the gain fader to after the send mapping. Turning the gain down will then not affect the send level.

Sounds real good Zynewave that would be a big plus!

AcousModules out of France highly recomended your software and they focus on Surround Sound vst modules.

They have a 5.1 leveler but not a 7.1 and mention their meters are not that accuate or it could the leveler sliders – or both not sure.

Either way I’m experimenting with 7.1 and 9.1 surround as well as 3d sound for stereo. Panning techniques in general

Thanx again for the info – if you hear of any surround vsts that you recommend – till you get yours made
    – please post a link.

or anyone else for that matter

    thanx again Zynewave
