    Hi,

    I’m having some difficulties with SampleTank 2.5 and Podium.
    Podium crashes quite often when using SampleTank. Mainly when changing presets, but I also get pikes and the sound go dead from time to time.
    Problem also with AmpliTube 2. Plug gets “red-out” and I have to unmap and remap it again.

    And I get some “illegal action” from Tone2’s Firebird+ v1.9 in Podium, though it’s a very legal plugin.

    And… no that’s all for now.

    Meanwhile I got myself a bunch of these…

    SampleTank seem to be a bit more stable with the plug-in multiprocessing turned off, but crashes/hangup still occure. As do peeks.
    No change for Amplitube 2 that I can see. It’s still ill…

    Hi.

    I don’t seem to have problems with Sampletank 2.5, but I can understand your frustration. Just as a thought – are you running an AMD X2 System ?

    If so, be sure to apply the dual-core optimisation patch, as I found that to be the cause of a lot of multiprocessor cpu glitches.

    After having a few go rounds with IK’s plugs I gave up on them. I thought they were really good ideas but they just weren’t stable enough for me. And this happened in more apps than just Podium.

    I have previously debugged with a demo of Amplitube 2 and found a problem with the plugin. I tried to contact IK about this issue but got zero reply. If you search for Amplitube 2 on the forum you’ll find the topics where this was discussed. I haven’t tried Sampletank 2.5. Have you contacted IK support about these issues?

    I’m on a Q6600 XP SP2 system.

    I had difficulties trying to pinpoint what caused these crashes and hang ups.
    Ex. I was browsing some presets in Sampletank. Then I went for the tracks pan in Podium and Podium just hang up on me. So I really didn’t know where to start. It all seem so random.

    So, Fritz, I’ll contact IK and see what’ll come out of this.

    Thanks for looking into this Slomo. I’m running a Q6600/XP/SP2 as well so I’m interested in your findings and possibly a fix. I think their AmpegSVX is a really nice bass plug so hopefully there is a solution.

    I still haven’t heard anything from the IK support. Mayby if I’ll wait just a little longer… 😉

    Holy frilolie… That’s in two thousand and EIGHT!!! Whoops! I just assumed the year would be the same; some nice support there! *sigh*
