I hope this release fixes all reported issues with rendering and latency-compensated plugins. Let me know if you still have issues with rendering.
2.40 beta1 can be downloaded in the VIP lounge:
The inspector, browser and project page tabs will show icons instead of text, depending on font size and project window size.
The minimum width of the inspector and browser pages will scale according to configured font size.
The timeline ruler region will adjust its minimum height according to font size.
Fix: Starting Podium after manually deleting the Podium.ini file would not create a complete default setup.
Fix: A silent gap would appear at the start of the track when bounce rendering a track with latency-compensated effect plugins.
Fix: Using the “render within punch range” command would sometimes leave a silent gap of a few samples at the end of the rendered range.
Hey Frits… glad to see you back from the coding cave! ๐
It seems zPEQ got under the wheels during the restructuring:
Showing the embedded editor in the inspector additionally freezes everything.
I’ll give the main part of the update a thorough test over the weekend.
Also, previewing a mono sound file in the browser with no arrangement powered on gets sent only to the first output channel (not related to 2.40).

Ouch ๐ฏ
I’ll look at that right away. I recommend everyone else wait with testing until I have beta2 ready in a few hours.
Hmm, I’m afraid I don’t see any change from how it was before… are you sure you uploaded the correct version? ๐

It might be interesting to know it happens even when you put the bounce track before the effect that’s creating latency.
Beta2 is up, with a fix for the zPEQ display bug.

Bug confirmed. Thanks for the video. This is a different latency bug than the one I already have fixed. The fixed bug was a blank gap appearing at the start of a track with latency plugins. I’ll start looking at this tomorrow, and upload a new beta when it’s fixed.
I didn’t see thcilnnahoj video, so hopefully this could be the same problem. Anyway this was the problem I reported in the support thread.
When I do a master offline bouncing there is some parts in random tracks which….

Wow , that was a good bug to fix. Please try beta3 and let me know if it fixes all your issues. I remember you once reported a problem with one of your projects, where Nucleum would misbehave at a certain point on the timeline. Please check if this is still present with beta3.

Frits, I did two bouncing attempts and it seems to work. I’ll do more attempts this night. Thanks!
Yep, it seems that did the trick. My Nucleum example project renders fine as well now. Now let’s hope for no side-effects. ๐
