Podium 3.2.0 beta1 is available in the VIP lounge download topic.
Changelog:
• Velocity region: Alt+Click+Drag over note bars to offset velocities. Offset amount is controlled by dragging up/down. A horizontal line is drawn while dragging, as a visual clue to the amount of offset applied.
• Velocity region: Ctrl+Click+Drag to adjust velocities of selected events. Up/down offsets velocities. Left/right compresses/expands dynamic range centered around clicked velocity value.
• Velocity region: Shift+Click to start dragging a marquee selection of note events whose velocities fall within the marquee.
• Note editor: Added “Adjust Velocities…” to the edit menu. The edit dialog contains controls for: Value, strength, offset, randomization and preview. Enabling the “Clipboard” option will fetch the velocity value from the first available note event on the clipboard.
• Note editor: Added “Adjust Transposition…” to the edit menu. The edit dialog contains controls for octaves and semitones as well as a preview option.
• Curve editor: Added “Adjust Points…” to the edit menu. The edit dialog contains controls for: Value, strength, offset, randomization and preview. Enabling the “Clipboard” option will fetch the point value from the first available point event on the clipboard. If the edited curve sequence controls gain or send levels, the values are entered as dB. MIDI parameters use 0-127 value range, and all other paremeters use percentage values.
• The bus return section (optionally shown docked in the mixer) no longer includes parent group tracks.
I haven’t yet implemented the “Adjust Sound Events” edit dialog, but once that is done, I think that’s it for 3.2.0. Let me know if you find bugs or have ideas for improvements.
Thanks for the update Frits, this was an eagerly anticipated set of features.
So I just downloaded and tested the beta. The velocity features worked flawlessly, with no bugs so far. But there’s a minor thing that happened in the “Adjust Points” dialog.
I was testing the features in the dialog on a “Bar Draw Mode” and for a little while the parameters stopped responding, no matter if it was on “Preview” or not. Then after some 3-4 attempts (reopening the dialog) they fixed themselves. I am still testing as I write, but this didn’t occur again, but still, maybe it is of some importance.
Another thing that I noticed is that when I adjust the parameters in the dialog and then close it, with or without saving the changes, every next time I open it, the settings are as I left them. This also happens when I create a new automation track for a completely different instrument, and then click the Adjust Points, the last used settings are remembered. The settings are remembered even after restarting Podium.
Maybe this is not a “bug”, but if they were neutral by default would be better.
And a little idea: Why not introduce “Invert” and “Reverse Points” to Velocity, something like “Invert/Reverse Values”. They are already there for the Curves, so it must not be that much of an issue I guess.
All the best

+1 to all of the above ^^
The Adjust Points dialog is definitely a bit erratic at the moment, for the reasons already stated. Otherwise, it all seems ok 🙂
Randomization of note velocities. Sweeeeeeet
Someone is doing of a video showing these features, right?
Thats a 10-4, will check now, thanks!
Many thanks Frits. 😀 😀 😀
Hi,
I have tested these functions :
• Velocity region: Alt+Click+Drag : Ok
• Velocity region: Ctrl+Click+Drag : Ok (excellent function)
• Velocity region: Shift+Click : Ok (convenient)
• Note editor: Added “Adjust Velocities…” to the edit menu : Ok for attack and release (randomize : greats)
• Note editor: Added “Adjust Transposition…” : Ok (greats ! I expected this function)
• Curve editor: Added “Adjust Points…” to the edit menu : Ok but the knobs don’t work
I can’t select the option “clipboard” in adjust points and adjust velocities but maybe I have not selected an option ?
Thank you for this work
A bug that was not present in the version 3.1.0:
In the windows “project” and “arrangements”, letters with accents are replaced by strange characters in the window
And all previous files (projects, files) containing accented characters (é, è, ç …) can not be opened
Add : Don’t loose time for this because for the moment i don’t have many files with accents and it’s easy to change the name.
Many thanks for the feedback. Beta 2 is up. The bug with the Adjust Points dialog should be fixed, plus:
• Note editor: Added “Invert Notes”, “Reverse Notes”, “Invert Velocities”, “Reverse Velocities” to the edit menu.
• Reorganized the edit menu. Inactive menu commands that were previously hidden are now shown as grayed out, to make the appearance of the edit menu more consistent.

You need to copy at least one note or point event to the clipboard, before opening the dialog. Tip: If you select a range of notes/points and copy them (Ctrl+C) before opening the Adjust dialog, the clipboard option is a quick way to gradually align the events to the value of the first event in the selection.

That is intended. All the adjust dialogs remembers the last settings (except preview on/off). I thought it convenient that if you have dialed in some favorite settings, you don’t have to recreate them every time you open the dialog. In a future update I may add some simple form of preset system to the Adjust dialogs.
Thanks for the additions Frits.
After 30 minutes of testing Beta 2 I can say that everything works as expected, no quirks at all with the dialogs, or any of the new features for that matter.
But there’s something I didn’t notice until now. I recently started to incorporate the “Pitch Bend” Automation (an awesome feature btw) quiet often, and it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to adjust a point to 0 Value. The closest that I can get is -/+1, and that’s after ultra-slow and careful mouse movement. So, is it too much to ask for a way to easily set a point to its default value – Ctrl+click or something.
As for the Adjust Dialog – I can see the benefit actually. It is much easier to revert all the parameters to 0, rather than recreate the settings exactly like the last used ones (if the need arises).

Marvellous humanising controls, Frits. I am yet to get my head around the interplay between Velocity Value/Strength/Offset and love the Ctrl+Click+Drag sideways to shrink/expand the values.
This is the first I’ve noticed that tools can be set independently between Editor Profiles – nice.
Something I noticed with the new dialog boxes is that, as the knobs are turned, notes and keys in the note editor underneath are highlighted.
Thanks heaps Frits 😀
This is dragging out a bit. I’ve been busy with a couple of other things in my life, so I’ll need another week before the next beta is ready. Sorry for the delay.
Beta3 is up:
• Sound editor: Added “Adjust Sound Events…” to the edit menu. The edit dialog contains controls for: Gain value, gain strength, gain offset, panning, fade-in/out times and curve shape, and clipboard values option.
