Does anyone have an efficient method for moving an Project or, better yet an arrangement from one PC to another. I like to do recording on my desktop (delta PCI audio interface) and move to my laptop (and comfortable, reclining chair) for mixing and production.

I end up copying and moving the audio files and *.pod, opening it on the other machine, re-linking the audio, reseting the source of IO objects (midi and audio) and resetting the VST folder. In addition, I have to maintain the same directory structure and dll location in the designated vst folders on each machine.

Is there an easier way of moving from one machine to another?

If the audio files are created by Podium they are saved in subfolders inside the project folder and linked with relative paths. So if you copy the entire project folder to another PC it should not be necessary to relink the sound files.

If your VST folder structure is different on your second PC, you can use the “search for missing plugins” device menu command on the project start page. This will preserve your plugin object hierarchy, but relink the plugins to their new file locations.

This is an area that I’m going to improve on in a future update.

Yes please. The VST structure issue as well as changing hardware are two major issues I have in Podium still. Solving the Automapping issue would massively simplify a crucial aspect of Podium.

Also extending Podiums functionality to include better file copy management would be a huge help as well.

    Cheers!
