Topic: question about using microtonic as a multi out plugin.

    im using microtonic, and in my mapping folder i have over 10 microtonic inserts with numbers such as 1+2-15+16. why? are these midi channels for multiouts? if so how do i use multiouts with microtonic. not at all trying to be rude frits šŸ˜³ but i realy dont prefer to be pointed to the manual when i recieve support unless thats the best option šŸ™‚ because i usualy read the manual first before asking for help with some thing that i dont understand after reading the manual šŸ™‚ thanx frits hitman8081 šŸ™‚

    These are probably multiple outputs. The older microtonic version only had two stereo outs. The newer version apparently has more. If you don’t assign sounds to other than the first output within microtonic, then all you need to use is the 1+2 mapping.

    is there a way to remove all the other mappings as i like a clean workspace šŸ™‚

    so is the 1+2 a multi out plugin then as wel as a stereo out? i just want to be able to asign a diffrent effect on each drum sound. like distortion on the kick, distortion on the snare, and reverb on hats.

    Yes. All the microtonic mappings you see in the map panel refer to the same plugin instance. The mappings are a way to extract the proper audio channels from the multiple channel output of the plugin. To apply different effect plugins to different drum sounds, you set up tracks with the 1+2, and 3+4 etc. mappings. Then you wrap each of these tracks with a group track assigned with the desired effect plugin. Also remember to select which output each drum sound will use in the microtonic editor.
