Hi,
There is two situation where it will be a great relief to have real copies instead of phantom copies (by default) :
– when splitting a curve sequence, it would avoid to have to turn to “clone phantom sequence” and “crop unique sequence” each time (already asked http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=511&highlight=clone )
– when cloning an arrangement with “copy this only”.
I use a lot the possibility to have several variations of a same arrangement, which is really a great feature of Podium, but if I change an envelope in one of them it is also changed in all the other.
So I have to turn manually all the sequences to real copies each time, which is very boring.
Can we be the envelopes sequences automatically turned into real copies when we choose “copy this only” ?
This option has only interest to avoid the copy of the audio files.
Or is there already a tip for this ?

How about Ctrl+Click to create unique copies, and Alt+Click to create phantom copies?
The scalpel default behaviour when clicking with no keys pressed would then still be phantom copies.

I would prefer adding ‘select all curve events’, ‘select all sound events’, ‘select all note sequence events’ in the edit menu of the arrangement editor. Then you only need to ‘select all curve events’, and then use the edit menu to ‘clone’ them all in one go. Good enough?

Yes, it is good for me.

If you prefer, yes.
Thanks !

No, you will need to select the scalpel tool. When using select and pencil tools Ctrl+Click will toggle select and Alt+Click will start a resize action.

That’s what I thought, but what has make me doubt is
Alt+Click to create phantom copies
and

?
Aaaahhh, the day when we won’t need anymore to press alt to resize an event 😆

Yes they do the same thing. I could skip the Alt+Click shortcut then to avoid confusion. I suggested it for consistency. When you drag and drop with the select tool, holding Ctrl will create unique copies and holding Alt will create phantom copies.

This is very good solution. Quick and easy.
