Topic: Record + Loop = Takes?

    I’m trying to understand what happened. I was recording and had the loop button activated. What I ended up with a track and a bunch of takes, each with some section of the song.

    I realize now it was a mistake to have loop activated, but what am I dealing with here. What exactly are the takes and is it possible to glue this back together so it sounds like a regular recording?

    What you ended up with is a composite track (a kind of group track) which contains child tracks for each individual recorded loop repetition. You can read more about it here:

    You can configure the behaviour of the multi-take recording on the play/record page in the preferences dialog.
