    Hi guys,
This question is probably a result of my ignorance, but I don’t see a simple way to record multiple tracks on a single track (like Digital Performer). In other words, if I want to keep multiple takes and then mix and match later, can I do that without just making tons of tracks?
I really like Podium so far. I’m using the demo, but I doubt I’ll make it 24 hours without purchasing based on what I’ve seen so far. The demo has about convinced me to toss Sonar…
    Thanks for any reply.

I assume that you are referring to the fact that loop-recording creates a new track for each loop. There is no other way to make the multiple takes appear as one track. You can collapse the track group with the multiple takes if the problem is that the tracks take up too much space in the editor.

Not exactly. Typically, when I record vocalists, they do multiple takes but only in certain sections.
Ideologically, it means that when I record something, the presumption is always that the take before isn’t actually being erased, but that an alternate take is being recorded. The previous recording(s) is(are) always still available unless I specifically delete it(them).
I think your loop solution is probably fine. Just give me some time to try it. I’ve been distracted by plugin issues. 🙂
