LiquidProj3ctParticipantYes, do it in the device panel, just drag’n’drop

AndrzejParticipantHa!! THX 🙂 In fact I selected all devices in REWIRE – REASON – MIDI folder in the device panel and on right mouse click there is a menu item: sort alphabetically 🙂 THX

ZynewaveKeymasterNote that the ReWire MIDI device list will be updated each time you change the devices in the Reason application, which can cause the list to become “unsorted” again.

AndrzejParticipantYes, I offten change the instruments and effects in Reason and than have to looking for it on the list. It will be usefull for me if the sort function will be “switchable” and works permanently after switching it.
And one more problem… changing the instrument preset in Reason can cause change device type… say from NN-XT to any COMBINATOR type of instrument, just by changing a preset. Than I have to manualy change a MIDI track destination in Podium because NN-XT no more exist and Podium do not switch output of its MIDI track to new instrument in Reason automatically. Is it possible Podium konnekt automatically new device?

The “sort alphabetically” is a command that is performed once. It is not a “mode” which will reshuffle the list automatically each time the name of an object changes.

The list is created based on a MIDI target number and bus number. When I tested with Reason I did not find an obvious logic behind the numbering, so it will not be easy to try to make automatic mapping reassignments based on these numbers.

AndrzejParticipantOk, it’s not a big problem to me 🙂
