PodianerParticipantHi Frits,
a little FR, that would help optimizing the (at least my) workflow. If the position and open or close states of the track inspector, the mixer and the embedded editor would be saved with each arrangement, some clicks could be “saved” π The whole state of the arrangement should be saved then..
e.g. I always resize the track view, because in one arrangement, I have rather few hierarchic levels, and in another I have a lot. Thus I resize in order so see the track header and all the information given. If this would be saved inside the arrangement object, I could have unique “workspaces”.
What do you think of this?

ZynewaveKeymasterGood idea. I’ve added “Save states of track inspector, mixer and embedded editor in each arrangement.” to the future list. It probably would be best to have this as an option in the preferences. I can see situations where I would prefer the layout of the editor to stay constant, independent of the arrangement.

PodianerParticipantGreat! Hope to see this soon! π

acousmodParticipantPerhaps you could add also to the FR the List and the Profile which is used ?
I generally work with two or three arrangement windows (two monitors), one acting as a global view of the main working arrangement with a special compact profile.
(see this old post : http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=531&highlight= )
Each time I start the project, the three windows show the Browser and I have to open the arrangements, change the Profile and the zoom.A sort of “total recall”, option will be of incredible value.
And I must say, one more time, to show the plugins that were previously opened will also be great…June 22, 2006 at 21:44 #7031

Looking forward to that. π

Does this will include also if it is the Arrangement or the Arrangement Compact view which is selected ?
I generally use a screenset with two views of the same arrangement, one of which is a minimal profile for a global view, something like the overall view in Tracktion or others (a good FR for Podium indeed).
This is very handy but I have always to manually select the Arrange, then the Compact view for the second screen and zoom it out because it doesn’t remember the previous state.
And since I have to restart Podium rather often it is really a mess…July 16, 2006 at 00:16 #7130

I guess a ‘total recall’ is the ultimate goal. I may implement it in lesser steps though.

Any chance to see this in 1.64? π
