Mike GParticipantHi,
My issue, I’m often zooming in and out (vertical and horizontal)
And becuase I do it so often, zooming seems to take ages. I have to move mouse accross from where it is over to scrollbar controls, and drag or click +/- multitple times)Suggestions:
1 – Zoom control by shortcut keys (Maybe shift and up/down/left/right arrow keys)
2 – Not auto scale my track height when I close/open mixer area. (I’ve mentioned this before, sometimes I want this sometimes I don’t so an option button near the scrollbar would be nice)
3 – Maybe also nice if could scroll the timeline via keys as well (Maybe alt and arrow keys moves cursor)
4 – Also move with mouse (like google maps) (Maybe if you hold shift hey down you can drag the window to scroll.)
Thanks for listening.

Piltdown ManParticipantHi Mike,
I’d also like to see more shortcut keys for zooming and scrolling.
I think your 4th request has already been implemented and there are a few useful key/mouse combinations for zooming. These are mentioned towards the end of the zooming section of the Podium Guide:
http://www.zynewave.com/wiki/doku.php?id=guide:editors#zoomingVersion 2.07 also adds a few improvements in this area, though these haven’t been included in the guide yet.
Cheers,

druidParticipantI agree it’s a bit awkward, but I don’t find it too difficult to adapt…
If you hold down shift+alt, dragging works. Ctrl+alt is horizontal zooming. Shift+ctrl is vertical zooming.
Hope that helps.

Mike GParticipantAhhhh! Thanks all for that info.
Yes ctl+a/t and ctl+shift will be a great help (I lhad only looked through shortcut key guide but didn’t see them) and I agree they’re a bit awkward but I think I will find this OK in the long run.
Keys for + and – zoom would still be a nice addition.Wow, this software has hidden depths!! I think now that I’m getting to use more features of Podioum that I need to re-read the guide cover to cover in case there’s anything else I’m missing!

I.e. Moving mouse will scroll the view (like draging to move current locarion the map on google maps)Also I don’t have a mouse wheel becuase I mostly use the pad on my laptop.
