is it possible to quickly select all the sequences in a single track (midi), so that I can merge them into one?

My project evolves through me recording short midi snippets, resulting in separate sequences on the timeline. I then want to export them, and the only way to do it is if I drag the right hand edges of each sequence to butt up to the beginning of next one, select all of them with control click, and them finally choose Merge.

Is there something simpler than doing this?

In some sequencers, you can select all sequences by double clicking on the track label.

With the track header selected just hit ctrl+a to select all clips, then choose ‘merge’ from the context menu. You don’t have to drag the edges of the clips.

Then you must have something set up differently.
If I have the track header selected, Ctrl-A selects every sequence in every track.

But you are correct about Merge situation. I just tested without dragging the edges and it did work. (The reason it wasn’t working for me before was because I had something else selected in a different track.)

So, I have this standard view (in Podium Free, version 3.2.1 (x64)) of all the different tracks.

    What do you have? Similar?

You are right, the “Ctrl+A” select all.

    Instead, do this:

    – Zoom out so you can see the full lenght of the track.
    – Left-Click and hold down on the “empty” area of the track to merge (after the last part)
    – Drag to the start of the track – if you are precise enough, this will select all parts on only that track.

    Thanks – that’s a good tip.
