Ok, let me first mention that although I do have a keyboard, I rarely ever record any MIDI live…’cause let’s face it, I suck! 😳 😆
Instead I build my arrangements with the pencil tool. Tedious and slow going does not fully describe the agony but that’s the way I’ve always done things and I don’t plan to change this anytime soon… 😈
So, when entering notes in the pianoroll or the drumeditor the velocity defaults to 64. Is there a way to change the default value? This would make my life so much easier, especially in the drumeditor.
While in the drumeditor, could we have a way to re-arrange the drummap to the left? As it is now it’s basically an inverted pianoroll with lower keys at the top and higher ones at the bottom. I like to set up my drums in their natural way i.e. kicks at the bottom, snares, hihats, toms and finally cymbals at the top. Could we have this puh…leeeze!? 😆
Also, I’d like to see a quick way to audition chords and note sequences in the pianoroll by dragging a tool above them pressing the left or right mousebutton or something similar. A new scrub tool or possibly as an extra function in one of the other tools. I’ve found this feature indispensable in the sequencers I’ve used in the past.
That’s all for now I think.
Congrats Frits to a really wicked program. I’m sooo excited 😀

Indeed…I have to agree with you here. When flipping from the midi-arranger to the drum-editor it would flow better if they both worked the same way, i.e. from the bottom up.
Mart.
PS. Welcome to the forum too 😛

Not currently. But I was going to change the behaviour to this: First note you enter in a sequence will be at 64. You change the velocity of the note, leave it selected, and click with the pencil tool to draw a new note which will take its velocity from the previously selected note. Good solution?

You can change the order of the drum lanes by dragging the drum key preset objects around, but you’ll have to do it with the browser or a list window. If popular opinion would rather have the default order of the drum kit keys in reverse order, I can easily change this. I originally made the low keys at the top of the list, because this is typically how drum kits are listed in the data-lists that accompany drummachines/workstations. So if anyone prefers the present ordering, now is the time to speak up ❗ or else I will change it for the next release.
I’ll add the scrub tool to the plan.

Absolutely! Thanks.

Oh, I didn’t know that. At least there is a way. I’ll try that for now then.

Sweet! Thanks for listening. 🙂
