    Hey all,

    I’m pretty new to Podium, despite having owned it for over a year 😯 , and I’m having a bit of trouble finding the correct setup for my CS1x hardware synth and I’m hoping someone can spot the obvious error I’m making.

    In the device mappings, should I have 1 ‘ CS1x ‘ global mapping for its audio output and 16 ‘ CS1x [**] ‘ midi channels which have ‘ Link to global instance’ activated , or should each channel mapping have the ‘ audio interface ‘ option activated instead, with no global CS1x mapping ?

    If the CS1x is multitimbral but only have a single stereo output, then that is the right setup. If you enabled the audio interface on your 16 MIDI mappings, then you would get the same stereo output of the CS1x mixed into each of the MIDI mapping tracks, which I assume is not what you want.

    Thanks for the reply. It is multitimbral with a single stereo out, so I have this part of the setup correct.

    Would the following be the right track layout to use with this setup to get the CS1x output into Podium’s mixer engine ?

    Master Audio Track
    ->Group track – CS1x ( global mapping )
    –>Child track – CS1x [01]
    –>Child track – CS1x [02]
    –>Child track – CS1x [03]
    etc…

    Sorry for the obvious questions, but I’m not at my home pc, so cannot try test out atm 😳

    That should work. It is not necessary though to put the MIDI tracks as child tracks of the global audio track, although that may be a nice way to organize things. You can put all the CS1x mapped tracks on the same group level if you prefer.
