    It’s on purpose that I’ve set the default to on. Why would you prefer it to be off?

    Frits, almost anything I open or start I want the engine shut down. In my view it is a safer way to open or start anything. No pops or surges.

    I guess I view it as, for example, turning on a mixer with master faders up. I think the master faders should be down.

    It won’t make a huge difference but personally I want to turn the engine on when I am ready!

    I don’t know of any software that starts with the engine off. I would say that keeping your monitors down when turning it on would be the better option. It would be more annoying to most people to have to turn it on every time.

    yeah, i don’t know if I am the average or kool is? I do not start Podium and record the moment after start up. I may have a variety of things I do before I start the engine and record.

    FWIW the two other apps I have with off/on buttons ….open off. Of course I don’t use them but for examples sake……

    Sam, I assume you know that you just need to disable the “activate power when opening arrangement editor” option in the preferences dialog, and then Podium behaves as in previous versions.
