If you have say 5 tracks with all their lanes hidden, only the very last track (or child track in a group) events (audio, midi or automatiion) can be seen in the arranger.
It would be nice to be able to see the events on other tracks in the arranger that have their lanes hidden by simply clicking on the < strip. Currently that will give that track focus in the Track Inspector and the mixer but it will not show any events that might be present on tracks with hidden lanes, unless it is the last child in a group of tracks that already have their lanes hidden.
Unless I have overlooked something there is no way to maintain the <<< hidden lane structure of multiple child tracks and see any events on each of those tracks by clicking on any of thier < strips. Allowing track events to be seen in any other tracks within a group that have their lanes already hidden, would provide another way to work in Podiums arranger without having to unfold tracks first. ๐ I want to see what is on the last child track in any group but also what is on the other tracks with hidden lanes in the same group, without needing to unhide each lane first.
Simply clicking on the < strip of each hidden track to see the events on it would be great. ๐

Great idea… +1
If you are just looking for a way to verify whether there are any events on a hidden track, you could check the event list in the track inspector. When I designed the hidden track lane feature, the main purpose was to be able to hide tracks that had no events on the timeline.
This FR goes in at the low-priority end of the todo list ๐

No Frits, not a simple verification of track events (I have no need for that) but full editing capability of track events, as we have currently with any child track that is last placed in any group tracks with all their lanes hidden <<<<<<. Clicking on each hidden lanes track strip (<<<) would switch the currently visible track in the arranger to the highlighted hidden lanes track, when clicked and as a result show the contents of *that* track. ๐
From there I would edit it as any other track. 8)

Thats fine and I remember ๐ Of course that does not stop it’s original purpose from being developed further.

Either way…low or high is fine by me ๐ Clip fades and cross fades (including auto crossfades) are by far my no.1 FR’s.
I do hope however that those two highly requested features are not also low priorities.
But yes the track lane suggestion I made in this thread can most certainly wait. 8)
