Robert RandolphParticipantI recently tried podium again after a previous encounter. After watching the videos and reading the manual all the way through, a product of a lazy day, Im quite impressed by podium. So much so that Im inclined to purchase π
I have to ask though, I am a previous tracktion user and was horrified by the drop-off in support, terrible 2.x release and split of the product. Is there a chance that if an offer existed, would podium be taken up by a larger company?
Im amazed by the support here, as well as the awesome software, but this just seems like too much of a repeat that was so great with the first release of tracktion. Only difference being podium is much more advanced and interesting to use π

ZynewaveKeymasterHi Phoenix,

I understand your concern. I have been reading the kvr forums from long before I announced Podium publicly, so I feel I know what people expect and how they react to the evolution of a one-man audio software company.
I obviously cannot make any guarentees of the Podium future. All I can say is that I have spent the last 15 years of my life shaping this application, so I am not about to hand it over to a major corporation and witness them changing it to something similar to the established sequencers on the market. I’m sticking to my vision.
If Podium becomes a big commercial success, I may find myself unable to cope with the support questions. In that case I would be looking for help or some sort of cooperation, so that I can dedicate most of my time to development.
I hope that answers some of your questions.

Robert RandolphParticipantAs long as the man behind the vision remains in control, that’s what’s important.
thank you!

there’s a few loyal podium fans who will always provide support for other users if they can, like myself π

Yes I do, although I prefer share-it payments. If you email me the exact mail address used with your PayPal account, and the country you live in, I can email you a PayPal invoice.
