This slow fader ui reaction off the track selected only happens if the inpector tab is open.

    I’m using the 2.29 demo

Can you give me some more descriptions:

    Is it a gain fader?

Does it happen both on the track headers as well as in the mixer?

Is it only on the UI, or is the sound slow to react as well?

Does it happen also when playback is stopped (i.e. during low cpu usage)?

It’s the gain fader and the pan fader.
Happens on the track headers as well as in the mixer and one the inspector.

It happens only if the track is selected and if the inspector tab is open.

Seems like it’s only the UI

And it happens even when the playback is stopped.

I just tested, and it seems there is a higher than usual CPU usage when the inspector is open. I’ll look into optimizing this.

What kind of CPU do you have? A single-core?

Good news. I traced the the code that consumed a lot of CPU, and luckily it was easy to speed optimize. Please test again with the next 2.30 demo, and let me know if you still see slow UI response to fader movements. 2.30 will be released within a day or two.
