kingtubbyParticipantI’d like the option – a tick box in preferences perhaps – to load a default project .pod file at start-up, so everything is set up and ready to go the way I like it. At the moment Podium only reloads the last used project. Or have I overlooked something?

ZynewaveKeymasterSo you are predominantly starting on a new project every time you start up Podium? 😮
At the moment Podium only reloads the last used project.
Correct.
I could put in some code in the Podium startup, that will look for a ‘Default.pod’ file, and if found will load that rather than the last used project. No need for a tick box in the preferences then. After loading the Default.pod at startup, I think it would be best to make Podium ‘forget’ the filename, so that you are always prompted for a file name when saving the modified default project the first time. Does that sound like an acceptable solution?

duncanparsonsParticipantThat would be good, actually
Also a ‘Most Recently Used’ list would be invaluable for me… I have things in different folders all the time, and so being able just to select from a list rather than navigate up the tree and back down.. Also I have my songs some where other than My Docs, since I started out that way; so I’m sometimes navigating long distances depending on where Podium decides to open a Save Dialog!
btw, the bussing is great!

hehe, well no, not always, but I often have moments of inspiration while away from the computer and I like to get things down as soon as possible.
Prior to getting into Podium I used Reason as my main app for getting ideas down quickly, (needless to say I don’t use it so much these days ) and the ‘default startup file’ option is something I got used to with Reason.I could put in some code in the Podium startup, that will look for a ‘Default.pod’ file, and if found will load that rather than the last used project. This sounds like a neat way of implementing this, especially if it could be combined with Duncans ‘Most Recently Used’ list suggestion.

ZynewaveKeymasterI’ll try to implement this for the next 1.14 release.
