    I don’t like needing to convert nodes to spline afterwards – can it not be set as the default method of drawing/recording them?

    For drawing splines, select the “spline edit mode”.

    Automatic spline conversion of recorded automation is not implemented. This ensures that playback reproduces the exact recorded automation. Converting to splines will alter the automation slightly.
