Like links to files in Windows Explorer. This would make it possible to maintain a preset library with a hierarchy that is independent of device definitions. Plus a switch in the preset panel to toggle between a list of the device definition presets and a list of the linked presets.
And taking that thought a little further: the possibility to keep device definitions and presets in a separate project (repository) shared by all arrangement projects using preset links to this repository.
