Windows Mobile / Windows Phone….?
Windows Mobile versions up to 6.5 are running on low-spec devices that cannot handle Podium. Windows Phone 7 is not currently an option, as MS requires that all development is done using the C# programming language. If they in a future update open up for native programming (i.e. C++), then it’s possible that Mobium will run on Phone 7 devices. The same thing happened with Android, which up to Android 1.5 only could be programmed with the Java programming language.

I would send a beta version on a floppy disk by postal mail to you. 😉
I belive it should be ‘floppy disks’…if you don’t have a way like when you cut a piece out of a 5 1/3 floppy to be able to use the other side as well 😉
Are you that old too? 😉 Ahh, the good old Commodore 64 days.
the c64 was my first computer. i still play turrican from time to time…

Oh yeah, my first ‘DAW’ was Steinberg Pro 16 on my trusty old C64, with a handbuilt MIDI-interface…or maybe it was Pro 24.

bnch of newbies on your fancy color screened VIC-20 and C-64’s. Real computer screens were monochrome baby!!! None of that fancy amber crap either, mean green all the way! 😛

Luxury! At least you got color. All I had was a 14″ B/W TV…:)

4micaParticipantWhen I was a wee lad, my best friend’s dad bought him a C64, with the monochrome green monitor. One day his older brother got it hooked up to the big color TV in the living room, and it was Impossible Mission and Raid Over Moscow all weekend!
Remember when the programs were on cassette, and you had to wait 20-30 minutes to load something? That taught me patience!December 15, 2010 at 23:49 #20065

SlomoParticipantPage-after-page-after-page-after-hour-after-hour…
And all you got was;?SYNTAX ERROR
Thanks for reminding me… 😉

Are you freakin’ serious?? M$ is being just as stubborn as Apple and Sony with that C#

druidParticipantI voted other.
I am very very interested in a tablet for the future, that combines several mobile device’s functions. E-reader like the Kindle (with nice paper-like screen), calendar and office apps like the iPad, and wireless connectivity with an ear piece so I can use it as a phone (and, preferably, software I use on my home PC, too, without needing to wait for specific versions for the mobile device).
Sadly, a device like this that is basically a mini-computer at about the same size with good touch screen support and everything is a way off in my opinion, and it would need to be a non-Apple device. I abhor their marketing strategies and their business attitude and ethics, so I could never force myself to pay money for an Apple product.
This is why I chose other. I think it is an interesting idea, but I would argue a bit premature, as the devices are still very … niche? I mean that they don’t have a wide range of uses, at least not as wide range as I require.

SlomoParticipantSorry for the hi-jacking…
Conclusion: if no one look ahead and try something else, we would still be using our C64’s, or banging rocks even 😉
So, Frits, do whatever you feel is right!

Hi.
Ok. Got it… I do not really need it on my phone but I was missing it on the poll.
Keep up the good work.

InfinitoarParticipantA favorite artist of mine by the name of “Celldweller” recently just made a song using his iPad.
So Zynewave if that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will.
However, me and a lot of his other fans are waiting on the song to be released for free. And apparently he[Celldweller] made the song using his “voice” 😆 and a $8 app. But I think he is going to hold the details of what the app was until the song release.
But still the release of Mobium is entirely up to you.
Also Zynewave[sorry I have a habit of calling people by their username online than their real name… 😛 ] 2 things: If possible when setting a emoticon or qoute or anything up top can the cursor be BEHIND after you’ve clicked the icon? And- thanks to Podium and Liquid I met an old friend of mine and introduced him to Podium, he LOVES it and we’ve created a simple little 2 man band project together. So far we’re running Podium on x64bit Windows 7 Ultimate.[on my buds laptop] I don’t know how but I don’t really care 😆 and thanks again for Podium and IF Mobium is released of course you will still have my support on it.

baconParticipantI’ll just chime in with my support for an Android version of Podium. I’ll get a new phone from work in February and I can choose between an iPhone and an Android (several different makes/models to choose from). I’m leaning towards the Android because of its more open nature, and a Pdoium version for the platform would seal the deal for me.
P.S.
My first computer MIDI sequencer was also Steinberg Pro-16 on the C64 (Pro-24 was for the Atari ST). Good times 🙂
