    I just got back to Podium this week and started really editing my first tune. I have been using Reaper until this week. Podium has a few oddities that defy logic when editing. Being different is O.K….when it makes sense. But editing in Podium has some differences from all apps that I find illogical.

    When the cursor is on a wav file I should be able to hit S on my keyboard to split the wav file. SHIFT S to split and delete right side. CNTRL S to split and delete left side.

    I should have a method for selecting all files in a track with one keystroke.

    I should be able to use an arrow key, or like key, to move the play cursor in any increment i chose along the track timeline.

    I should be able to click anywhere in the track area and the play cursor moves to that spot.

    I should be able to drag the play cursor with my mouse anywhere along the track area.

    Frits, please consider these changes or maybe as options. If most of your users are from other apps I can’t imagine I am the only one noticing these things.

    No, you’re not 😉

    More options in Preferences and custom keyboard and mouse shortcut will help a lot… in the future.
    It is actually one of the very good points in Reaper : you can use it like YOU want (in the limits of what it can do !).
    Actually, you have to use Podium according to Frits feeling, which is not bad, but which might not be accurate for everybody.

    When we make a lot of audio editing, yes, there is yet some restricting behaviours that make it a little less pleasant and efficient to use that it could be, but it has already progressed A LOT during the last year !
    When I think how I have had to work last year without a keystroke to split, fades, events handles, groups and mute events, I am really VERY happy withy the current version !!!
