.This image shows clickable areas on tracks that get highlighted when the mouse is over them in the mixer (and the GP) but there is no obvious suggestion or tooltip that tells you what to do.
One might pass straight over it without clicking on it or instinctively right click and assume there is no left click functionality which of course there most certainly is…Device mapping inserts.
A simple solution would be to add a pop up tool tip that lets a user know what that highlighted space is for, (in the mixer and the GP). The left and right click functions are extremely helpful but… there is no indication on the mixer or GP that the highlighted area has this hidden dual functionality.
So something like this might be suitable in a tool tip…
“Left click here to insert Device Mappings. Right click here to see track related options.”
